WHO发布全球十大健康威胁
据世界卫生组织数据，全球每天90%的人都在呼吸污染空气。空气污染导致每年700万人因癌症、脑卒中、心脏病、肺病等疾病而早死。其中90%的早死发生在工业、交通和农业污染物排放较高的低中收入国家。
世卫组织指出，包括心脏病、糖尿病、癌症等疾病在内的慢性非传染性疾病与全球70%以上的死亡（4100万）有关，其中包括30~69岁人群中的1500万早死。
世卫组织指出，2019年全球再次面临着流感大流行，但目前不知道何时会爆发，也不知道会有多严重。
超过16亿人（占全球人口的22%）生活的地方，存在旷日持久的危机，且健康服务薄弱，难以获得基本医疗服务。
抗生素、抗病毒药物和抗疟药物的发展是现代医学的一些伟大的成就。但现在，用来对抗细菌、寄生虫、病毒和真菌等微生物的药物耐药问题凸显，可能会让我们难以轻易治愈肺炎、肺结核、淋病和沙门氏菌病等感染。
此外，埃博拉和其他高危病原体、基层卫生保健薄弱、对疫苗的犹豫、登革热、艾滋病毒，都是影响全球健康的威胁因素。
